Clarence Valley High School Touch Football Shield

On Tuesday, 17th October, McAuley sent four teams to Yamba for the Clarence Valley High Schools Touch Football Shield. All four teams played very well in the round games in extremely windy conditions. Each team played well enough to make the Grand Final in their respective age divisions:
  • The Open girls were unfortunately defeated 1-0 in the Grand Final against Grafton High School;
  • The Junior girls finished the Grand Final with a draw but sadly lost in a drop-off decider to Grafton High School as well;
  • The Junior boys defeated Grafton High School 5-3 in the Grand Final;
  • The Open boys defeated Maclean High School 4-3 in the Grand Final.
Special mention to Cruz Sewell, junior boys player of the final and Jack Fels, open boys player of the final.
Thank you to coaches Mrs Robinson, Mrs Lee, Mr Howard and Mr Nipperess.
