Soccer in Socks - Fundraiser for Catholic Mission
On Thursday 23rd October our school celebrated ‘Socktober’ to raise money for the Catholic Mission in Zambia for 2025. Students donated a gold coin and competed for their house in a ‘socker’ tournament at lunch wearing their crazy socks. The game was characterised by its competitive spirit, original socks, sportsmanship and lots of fun!. Tracey beat Mercy, and McCarthy beat Champagnat at first break. Then in the final between Tracey and McCarthy, the scores were locked and they went into a tense 5-person shootout. Though it was a close game ultimately… Tracey won! Thank you to everyone who participated and we look forward to seeing even more crazy socks next year!
